LibrarianRyan @SpookyMazeOfBooks It's a game/reading challenge. It's done on the honor system but you earn points for the books you read/listen to, points for participating, and points for the various games that will posted (such as how many words can you make out of the letters in this saying). There will be bingo cards (based on what you read) and usually a team book and a team movie that will be worth more points than other books. There are 2 teams ⬇ 2y

LibrarianRyan @SpookyMazeOfBooks Monsters vs Killers (ie horror fantasy verses mystery/thrillers). When you sign up you list your preference. All the books you read do not have coinside with these theme, but books on these themes are worth more points. At the end of October one team wins, and one person on that team wins a small gift card. Its more about the drive then the win. It's a lot of fun. However, if you do not want to see the posts ⬇ 2y

LibrarianRyan @SpookyMazeOfBooks because they can be many and dominate the feed, you can block the tag. Scarathlon is normally pretty big. The only thing bigger is the winter games (Dec). I don't know if she is doing it this year, but I believe @4thhouseontheleft (I may have the person wrong) also normally does #screamaton, but is simpler and more laid back. When I tell you that these two things plus swaps will dominate the October feeds I am not kidding. 2y

When Scarygirl is abandoned at on a remote peninsula at the large friendly octopus Blister's house, Blister and Scarygirl become best friends. But no one knows where she came from, or who she really is. Scarygirl knows she has to leave the safety of Blister's home and travel over the mountains to the city to find out the secrets of her past. Will Dr. Maybee's laboratory give her the answers she is seeking, or will his dark forces overpower her?

There‘s just something to be said about a beautifully illustrated #GraphicNovel. I plan of taking full advantage of my Libraries awesome GN collection, and use these beauties to get #TeamSlaughter some points! A few of these are yearly rereads for me, as I simply adore the amazing artwork.

Side note: I couldn‘t get Oscar Meyer away from these books, so he‘s in all 3 pics 😅🖤

Clwojick @myellenbee Oscar is the least nosy of my two black cats. Totem is normally the spotlight hog. If he thinks I'm taking pictures, he'll run in front of my phone cause he thinks he'll get treats. I used to do little photo-shoots with them and now they think its an easy way for snacks. 😆 5y
