Honestly there‘s having great chemistry and not being able to keep your hands off each other- and then there‘s having sex in a locker room - during a game - which could really affect his career and her reputation. Not only was he ejected from the game (which will at the very least mean a hefty fine) but then this? Yikes. I see real consequences that are bound to come their way.

They are not the king‘s guests-best not to forget it. And even though Celaena may seem to be making connections- with Chaol, Dorian, and perhaps Nox, she really can‘t trust anyone. Except maybe Nehemiah. I wonder what her story is.

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.13-14: I love me some spice in a book - but dare I say it - the past few chapters there hasn‘t been a whole lot else. It‘s a bit difficult to find things to talk about other than Violet‘s obsession with the MC. Except - we called it in that she‘s very insecure and got twisted over an innocent picture. It‘s a good thing Alex is willing to put up with her crazy. ⬇️

Or maybe going easy on them simply because one of them was just murdered. Something is going on. It has to do with the King‘s secrecy and with the dead hounds I‘ll bet. Perhaps there is a predator - man or beast - within Adarlan. ⬇️

But she kept up - good for her. And she remembers how to use a sword. I think the strategy they‘re using of keeping her under the radar is good - but I‘d be annoyed too if I were her. ⬇️

#LittensLoveSJM #TOG Book 1 Ch.7-9: it‘s great that Celaena is not only a top assassin- but an avid reader too. I love characters who are book lovers. It makes them so relatable to me. Being in the castle, there will be a lot of court intrigue - we already see a big rift between the prince and the king, and I‘m guessing - since Dorian looks nothing like his father - maybe his parentage has been questioned at some point? ⬇️

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.9-10: so their coffee date went really well (how cute is it that Alex ordered hot chocolate?) and their dinner date went really well (aside from Alex being exposed to Violet‘s mom for a couple minutes at the beginning there) - why do I get the feeling something bad is going to happen to derail things? I mean, even if they started seeing each other, Violet will still be jealous or insecure about what‘s happening on the road.

#IDLR #InDeathLongReadalong Book 13 Ch.6-10: we‘re definitely making some progress in the case - Eve‘s intuition is right on the mark when it comes to these two scumbag murderers. She just has to catch them. Could the woman who survived her attack be the key? In other interesting developments- McNab is finally made to realize he loves Peabody. And Charles connects with Louise (which is a great match in my opinion).

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.7-8: Poor Alex - things are not going well for him in the Vi department. Some of this - yes, he brought on himself. But he‘s not helped out by those around him. What is Violet supposed to think about him? Of course she should keep him at arms length- even though he‘s making that difficult. It‘s nice that he likes her enough to keep trying though. But he may need to rethink his strategy.

#LittensLoveSJM #TOG Book 1:Ch.4-6: we‘re learning more about the world and the destruction that Adarlan‘s king has inflicted-especially on magic wielders. It‘s mentioned that Celaena once possessed gifts but that magic disappeared from the land. We also learn a bit about the King of Assassins- her mentor who trained her. And there is someone that she suspects betrayed her and that led to her capture. Someone close to her. ⬇️

He‘s used to getting what he wants and he‘s probably accustomed to his family‘s power being unconditional. I‘m not sure where the Captain of the guard stands. Is he completely loyal to his master? It‘s an interesting dynamic and an interesting start to the story

Eve told everyone that would happen - but did anyone listen? 😝she loves to remind them all. ⬇️

No. Thank goodness she thought ahead and the mother gifted her with a bit of her own power. ⬇️

Will Dawn arrive in time to give Nesta back her power? ⬇️

She helped them make it. Hopefully not at the cost of her life. Perhaps acknowledging the mating bond at last will give her a final bit of strength to get through it.

But Cassian and Az are now facing Koshei - how will they get away? It‘s sad that Nesta had to give up her title of winner - but shows such a growth in her character.

I feel as though this guy gets me.

And now Nesta and Emerie have to find Gwyn and hope she‘s ok.

Warning, I have read this one before a few years back and I remember it being pretty spicy but also a lot of fun. And it‘s got a Canadian hockey player which is cool for us Canadians, eh? Maybe she can destroy Briallyn then. That was so creepy when they saw each other with the harp. ⬇️

She can start healing if she lets things out and stops bottling it all in. Her confessions made me sad - I love that SJM has taken us on her journey. Now she just has to apologize to her sisters and admit her feelings for Cassian. Easier said than done.

He grabs Nesta and gets the hell out of dodge. It sucks that he has to be in the middle. He loves his friends. He also loves Nesta(yes he does). Is she the Yoko of their group? I feel for Nesta - she‘s so angry and has a lot of self loathing. Can Cassian help her help herself out of that hole?

You‘d think getting some on the regular would improve her mood. Apparently not. ⬇️

Or would it really be for the good of Prythian? Or was Amren - in her way - testing him? ⬇️

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.19-end: A great ending and a sweetly romantic one - although I do think Rory should have gotten more of his comeuppance. I hate when characters rise above 😉 be a bit petty once in a while. I liked that it was a fairy tale but with some realistic expectations. She will be a duchess - will she be perfect? God no - but she‘ll do her best. And Max loves her no matter what. ⬇️

I felt so bad for him when he left afterwards. “Just sex” indeed. Good for Nesta finding her confidence more using a sword. She‘s getting there. The training was a good idea for her and all the girls.

#LittensLoveRomance: Ch.17-18: Evie thinks her time in the Duke‘s world is over - and to be fair he hasn‘t clarified that he intends to marry her. He kind of just sent her out into the hallway after their liaison. But I do think she has her pride and that may get in the way of their romance. And so will Rory - I know he‘s lurking around, ready to pounce and ruin things. Hopefully Evie and Max are made of stronger stuff.

An army of the dead may come in handy. Is Cassian ready for more of Nesta‘s dark power? Will he help her through it? Of course he will! That boy is over the moon. He was ready to jump in that bog after her. Wish we could all get us some Cassian.

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.15-16: Evie is coming out of her shell and actually doing well in the duke‘s circle. But his past with Rebecca is a sad one and no wonder he doesn‘t want to make that mistake again. That is until he finally gives in and kisses Evie in the library (every romantic bookworm‘s dream 😏). He‘s gone over her - and he knows that if he wants her, he‘ll need to be honourable and propose. At great risk to his heart.

Do we think that those autumn soldiers are under a spell or have they defected from Eris‘ command? Does Beron know that his son has betrayed him? And what‘s taking Cassian so long to dispatch of those soldiers and get back to Nesta? This bog is creeping me out!

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.13-14: well these two, honestly- they need to start being honest with themselves and not so damn practical. Although that was an amusingly awkward conversation after the kiss. I hope now that Delia is around, she‘ll be able to steer Evie into the right direction. Or at least glean what Evie really wants. And here‘s hoping Rory gets trapped down a well.

Secondly, we get to see a glimpse of Nesta‘s power - and it has Rhys scared shitless - that tells you something. I loved how protective and worried Cassian was - the boy has it bad which is just what Nesta needs. ⬇️

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.11-12: So typical for Rory to show up when he thinks something might be in it for him. What a grifter! I hope Evie sees through him, before he ruins things for her. Now the duke, that‘s a nice distraction- but it‘s good she‘s trying to remain cautious in her feelings for him, & in her expectations. Cinderella stories don‘t honestly happen in the real world- HEA is a rare thing. But maybe she can allow a small amount of hope?

It‘s a shame she can‘t act better with her sisters but maybe there‘s too much history and trauma to unpack. Been there, Nesta, been there. She‘s slowly becoming Nesta with Cassian. Physical closeness will bring them closer mentally as well I think. ⬇️

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.9-10: Well, there were tame shenanigans- touching hands without gloves, lingering glances, tripping into each other - but it did get them both hot and bothered. And then the duke avoided her all week! Boo. But I totally get why with his experiences. It‘s nice to see the attraction is on both sides though. Here‘s hoping they realize it sooner rather than later. I‘m also glad Evie is getting a bit of confidence. She needs it.

Poor Az, he‘s not the greatest chaperone haha. I‘m sure he doesn‘t want to be pulled into their complicated mess. I‘m glad Nesta finally got someone to agree to come to training. It‘s nice that she‘s focused on this task - a win might help her move on to the next.

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.7-8: Shopping on a Duke‘s dime - must be nice (and she deserves it). But I‘m glad we established he‘s rich and not one of those aristocrats who‘s deep in debt (like so many were at the time) - Now we find that she can‘t dance - rather than having her scandalously join him at his empty house, why doesn‘t he just pay for a dance tutor? I sense some shenanigans might happen with them being alone.

Feyre won‘t be able to help in the war effort which will stress her out. And Nesta - sigh - she‘s the most prickly cactus. Thank goodness we can see her thoughts or we‘d still hate her. At least we know she feels bad when she says something terrible. I wish Cassian knew she cares for him and wants him. ⬇️

And Duke Max to the rescue with the insurance and with getting her a place to stay. How could she say no? I‘m also glad she realizes Rory is kind of a moron. The book he gave her - It reminded me of a gift I once got - so out of touch. I‘m glad she‘s smart enough to see that. Will he bother her at the Savoy though?
