#LittensLoveRomance Ch.13-15: well things are definitely getting more complicated between Dominic and Shay. Even if it is Drunk Dominic and slightly tipsy Shay. I wonder how he‘ll handle seeing her Tuesday - will he just ignore it? I feel bad that they are both lonely people. Maybe they need each other. But can they be just friends?

#LittensLoveRomance Ch. 10-12: the show is a hit and their boss is happy - for now. He‘ll be happy so long as they‘re popular. After that, who knows. But Shay is feeling the guilt over lying. How long will she be able to keep it up? I think they should at least tell Ruthie. And Shay‘s mom. Yeesh that will be awkward when the truth comes out.

mcctrish Dr Nina Flores knows something is up and I think the redhead will show up too @OriginalCyn620 somehow they will get together and then break up and being the dream of the show and then get together. But I am curious why Kent wants in on the planning? Does he sit in on other shows? Shay and Dominic have enough pressure with the show succeeding or they are out of work without Kent potentially undermining their ideas of how the show should flow 1d

#LittensLoveRomance Ch:7-9 Shay is definitely attracted to Dominic-but will her feelings get in the way of their new show and the lies they have to keep straight? This would stress me out to the point of hives I think. Especially lying to her mom. I also feel as though a 3 month relationship does not a relationship guru make. I‘d rather listen to a show where the hosts had been together for years. But that would be an even bigger lie to deal with.

OriginalCyn620 @Kshakal Yes, exactly! And I agree that it‘s a little flimsy for people who only dated a couple of months to host a radio show about said relationship…it would make more sense if it had been a couple of years. But I‘m just here for the ride! 2d

TheSpineView I agree about the holes. I think they are so big they will fall in and get lost in them. It is a disaster waiting to happen. I'm cringing just thinking about it how this could all go off the rails. 2d

DanaManiac I‘m curious to see how this all comes together. Personally, a bad personality makes a person so unattractive, so I can‘t relate to Shay‘s love/hate feelings for Dominic. I‘m sure the holes will end up exposing them! 2d

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.4-6: it‘s a tough nugget to swallow when you‘re given an ultimatum-do this new show or you‘re fired. Looks like Dominic is getting to see how the real world of journalism is. But Shay is right - it could open doors and lead to other opportunities for both of them. They just have to make sure they don‘t get caught. ⬇️

StayCurious Also, how do we feel about Dominic being younger than Shay? I feel as though that age gap could be significant but that may just be me. 3d

mcctrish My husband is 4 years younger than me and it only matters when we talk about what we did in high school ( music, tv & movies we listened to/watched) 3d

willaful Knowing that Dominic is so young definitely make it easier to excuse his behavior. He needs the world to teach him a thing or two. And I feel like they're in a similar place emotionally. -- both idealistic about pyublic radio, though in different directions.

My husband is 3 years younger... he was 18 and I was 21 when we met! I was embarrassed about it at the time but it's honestly never mattered. 3d

LiseWorks My husband is 8 years younger than me, and sometimes he acts older than me, lol. I usually remind him that I have been driving longer than him. And yes, songs, tv, and stuff are quite a conversation 3d

Faranae I don't think 3-4 years is an age gap. I'm sure it could feel that way when you're younger (early 20s), but by your 30s it's nothing, My parents are nearly 10 years apart, fitting the historical tradition (Dad is the older one). Now age gaps in Bujold novels 😬 3d

vonnie862 I know the age gap doesn't matter but I personally do not aim for that. Dominic is in his early 20s so it might play a role as to how he acts with Shay. 3d

Skygoddess1 The five year age gap isn‘t that big a deal for me, it‘d be different if it was a 20 year old with a 15 year old, but they‘re both in their 20s and I feel like it‘s being made a bigger deal than it is. I once dated a guy who was 9 years older than me for almost 5 years, it ended because he was a Peter Pan 3d

DanaManiac I was surprised to learn that Dominic is younger than Shay, but it makes his attitude more understandable. I recall being so black and white in my thinking when I was young (without being a jerk, lol). I feel like the age gap may become a key part of the plot, but not too sure about how. 3d

TheAromaofBooks To me, it depends on the overall age/life experiences. So I think it can make a bit of a difference in their case, with Dominic straight out of college vs Shay already in the workforce several years. I'm 10yrs younger than my husband and we tool along great, but we met when we were older and already knew where we were going in life, so I think that makes a difference!! 2d

julieclair I don‘t feel like the age gap is going to matter. But I feel for both of them having to choose between your ethics/morals/standards and keeping your job. 3h

#LittensLoveRomance ch.1-3: well I don‘t like snobby Dominic so far- Mr. Northwestern- but I‘m sure he‘ll grow on me. I feel for Shay. She‘s feeling lonely and left behind. And unfulfilled. I hope she finds what she‘s looking for. It‘s interesting seeing a radio station in the times of podcasting - what a competitive environment! Must be so hard to stay relevant.

#InDeathLongReadalong #IDLR Ch.6-10: Eve has a very interesting cast of characters to deal with - some of whom hated the deceased. We find out the victim was pretty much an a—hole and a sexual deviant (poor Nadine). He had a tape of her that if it got out would be pretty bad. What was he planning to do with it? Was that why he called her for dinner? Or was it just to discuss old times? ⬇️

StayCurious Then the newest victim, made to look a suicide - good thing Eve‘s not easily fooled. What do we think of Charles and Peabody‘s platonic relationship? I hope Eve stays out of it. But if McNabb finds out, will he be relieved or smug? (edited) 5d

#InDeathLongReadalong #IDLR Ch.1-5: All the world‘s a stage…we‘re thrust into the world of the theatre and the actors that live and breathe it. A man is killed in front of Eve and 3000 other people and the question is not who did the actual deed but who switched out the prop knife with a real one. The victim is much hated so there seem to be a lot of motives. ⬇️

StayCurious And who happens to hold a grudge over the victim for a past slight-Nadine Furst - she was in the wrong place at the wrong time and the real killer may use that to his advantage. This one is set to become dramatic, folks. 2w

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.61-end: wow! I didn‘t see the twist coming - it was very craftily done. Everything was properly wrapped up in a perfect bow. The only thing I was hoping for was for Maggie to be Eleanor‘s long lost niece somehow…but sadly I was not correct about that. Still it was a great book - a lot of fun with romance and suspense. I truly enjoyed it!

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.56-60: I‘m so glad Ethan found Maggie in time and that she listened to him long enough to believe that he didn‘t try to kill anyone- at least not yet. He‘s pretty upset at what happened to Maggie (swoon). And as to what happened in Tucson? Double swoon. He‘s on my book boyfriend list for sure. There‘s not much of the book left so we‘ll finish it off tomorrow! I honestly can‘t wait any longer.

#LittensLoveRomance Ch.46-50: the more I get to know Maggie and Ethan the more I want them to be together. This book has sucked me in for sure. I‘m still not sure who the would-be killer is though. I want to say Rupert because he‘s a conniving weasel but I‘m leaning towards Cece or even Rupert‘s wife bc you‘d never suspect her. But who really knows except maybe Eleanor and the villain of the piece.⬇️

#LittensLoveRomance We‘re off to a very interesting start. I feel so much for poor Maggie - she‘s been through a lot. No wonder she‘s a bit of a recluse. #LittensLoveRomance this month‘s vote was a nail-biter! Each book was in the lead at some point but this ended up taking it by a slim margin. Good news - I found it on kindle for $2.99 - I‘m hoping it‘s cheaper where you are or you can access your library‘s copy. aperfectmjk I saved my lists from previous years and always work off that since the phrase is always similar. This way I don't have to start all over. I just eliminate words that don't have the required letters and then start looking for words I don't have. 2mo

#IDLR #InDeathLongReadalong Ch.16-22/Review - wow the last few chapters of this book whirled by as it all came crashing together. I knew the two cases had to be linked somehow - did everyone click on to the evil Mrs.Branson? What a conniving psycho! Poor Zeke. I wonder if he‘ll recover from this. And will Peabody give McNabb a chance in the romance department? I‘m eager to read more.

StayCurious I enjoyed this instalment- it was heavy at times (very high body count and sad that we lost Malloy) but also showed how smart Eve is to have put it all together. She really showed her skills this time. We‘ll be reading Witness in Death next, but I think because of the busy holiday season, we‘ll take a break and resume in January. We really hope you‘ll continue with us in our In Death journey! See you soon! 2mo

bookwyrm7 Does it count if it's a variation of one of these words? For example, "traditional" technically has the word "tradition" in it. Does that count or does it have to be the exact word? 2mo

Nelnjali The word searches are my absolute favorite! Do we earn 100 points for each 10 that show up or just the first time? Also, is it 10 in a single book earns the 100 or does it count if we find like 5 in one book and 5 in another? 2mo

StayCurious @Nelnjali any book you‘re reading, no matter how many times the word shows up, it‘s ten points. So if you find 50 ‘Snow‘ then that‘s 500 points! Then if you read another book and find 50 more ‘snow‘ you get another 500 points! I hope that makes sense. (edited) 2mo
