bailedI hardly ever stop reading a book...but I just couldn't connect with this book, the characters. Not a horrible book, I just don't think it's what I'm in the mood to read right now. Maybe I'll try to read it again later and enjoy it more 🤷
Finally getting a chance to do some reading after a few weeks of sickness going thru the family.

To start: it had its flaws. There was a bit about 2/3 through of just back story and, while it helped build the characters, relationships and motives, I couldn't help but wonder if needed to be so long (and I do love backstory!).
That said, it was full of adventure and intrigue that kept you guessing. Some things were a bit predictable but the story was no less interesting for it. I approve 👍

Great world building and interesting story...some short cuts that I didn't like, but well written!
Ok so maybe it was a bit more than an hour 😅 train was so packed I couldn't get my book out, so I'm gonna read it on the boat in a couple of hours.
I am still enjoying the story, but it's going into a lot of backstory right now. I love extra detail in my books normally but I'm beginning to wonder how most if it is relevant 🤔

Not got as much reading done while I've been in Newcastle as I had planned, but now I've got the long train home to catch up a bit 😊 Pandemic is still going pretty well, but it's getting pretty complicated. Hopefully it'll start answering some of my questions soon 🤔 Another hour, then I might go back to the Clockwork Angel for a bit 🖤
Started a new #audiobook now that I've finished Jurassic Park and it's going well so far. I'm about 4&1/2 hours in and there's plenty going on. It's fast paced from Desmond's point of view but not so much from Peyton's, but it works pretty well (so far at least). Getting set up for travelling tomorrow so I'm glad it's a good one because I'll be on trains for hours 😱
