Altered History of Willow Sparks
Altered History of Willow Sparks | Tara O'Connor
5 posts | 15 read | 4 to read
What happens when you can finally get everything you ever wanted? Willow Sparks and her best friend Georgia Pratt are at the bottom of the social ladder at Twin Pines High School, just trying to get through each day relatively unscathed. But when Willow finds a mysterious book that allows her to literally change her life, it feels like her luck is finally turning. Becoming more and more popular with each entry into the book, her old life, including her friendship with Georgia, seems miles away. Yet as Willow will discover, every action has a reaction, and the future has unusual--even dangerous--ways of protecting itself.

This was a very quick and enjoyable read! The illustrations were very well done and the uniqueness and creativity of the story was excellent! #graphicnovel #ya

I loved the idea of this one - I just wish there was more. The characters and story line could have been fleshed out much more than they were.

Foragingfantasy Ah the black bag... I remember those days. Good time to catch up on reading! 7y

The idea behind this one was clever, but I felt like it Just was not entirely fleshed out. I think in order for this concept to work, it needed to be over a series of books- not all crammed together in a fairly short graphic novel.

It‘s cute. The basic premise is a popular if overdone one especially for teens. Girl goes from bullied nerd to popular because of some kind of magic and change in her appearance. It does also have books, libraries and touching friendships.

emtobiasz Agreed. Worth flipping through, but a bit disappointing for me. 7y
