The Demon of Brownsville Road
The Demon of Brownsville Road: A Pittsburgh Family's Battle with Evil in Their Home | Bob Cranmer, Erica Manfred
7 posts | 5 read | 3 to read
October 1988: Bob Cranmer buys a house in the Pittsburgh suburb he grew up in. He has no idea that his dream home is about to become his worst nightmare The Cranmers seemed fated to own the house at 3406 Brownsville Road. As a young boy, Bob had been drawn to the property, and, just when the family decided to move back to Brentwood, it went up for sale. Without a second thought, they purchased the house that Bob had always dreamed of owning. But soon, the family began experiencing strange phenomenaobjects moving on their own, ghostly footsteps, unsettling moaning soundsthat gradually increased in violence, escalating to physical assaults and, most disturbingly, bleeding walls. Bob, Lesa, and their four children were under attack from a malicious demon that was conjuring up terrifying manifestations to destroy their tight-knit household. They had two choices: leave or draw on their unwavering faith to exorcise the malicious fiend who haunted their home. Now, Bob Cranmer recounts the harrowing true story of the evil presence that tormented his family and the epic spiritual war he fought to save everything he held dear INCLUDES PHOTOS

There‘s a house I used to drive and walk past all the time when I was little that supposedly had evil spirits in it. I was so ecstatic when he finally wrote the tagged book about it a handful of years ago! #creepychristmas @teebe

Hey @guinsgirlreads ! I finally read the book you sent in our #hometownswap. YIKES! I was creeped out! Perfect for the season 🎃. I think that homeowner was nuts 🥜 for staying there with his family. I would have moved out ASAP! Did you know about the reputation of that house, or learn of it after the book was written? 2/5👿s

If I hadn‘t promised my friend to read this book I would totally bail. I am 60 pages in and annoyed. First, the author seems rather arrogant. Second, he keeps attributing difficult things in his life to an evil force 🙄

A friend of mine really wants me to read this book so we can talk about it. It seems a little scary and I am super skeptical about this kind of stuff 😬

Thank you Leanna @guinsgirlreads so much for all the Pittsburgh you sent my way! I‘m enthralled with the dark book selections. I‘m thinking about reading them in October to set my Halloween mood. My husband and I actually visited your city in 2017, so many of the items brought back memories of our trip. And you should have seen my daughter‘s eyes 👀 when I pulled out the Dill Pickle 🥒 lip balm! You did a great job! I love ❤️ all your choices!

MicrobeMom Super fun package! 6y

#exorciseyourdemons (Owned edition)! 💀 I had to grab this as soon as he put it out. I grew up less than 10 minutes from this house and in turn passed it countless times. Cool to know and read now. #hallowreads @Tiffy_Reads @JoeStalksBeck
