Unless sharks are protected, many of these great predators are doomed.

This part of the book saddens me and we need to help these sharks out because they hardly ever attack us but we kill them all the time

Pickpick

Nonfiction and created in 2010. This book about sharks tells children really important about the sharks. Each section of the book I learned something that gives sharks advantages over its prey. The most interesting part of this book was the information about mako sharks. Mako sharks are the fastest sharks and can swim up to 31 miles per hour. These creatures hardly ever attack us we kill millions each year.

Pickpick

Sharks by Gina Cline and Joi Washington is a nonfiction picture book I will use for readers theater. This book compares and contrasts sharks to each other as it doesn‘t specifically name the scientific names of each shark it still gives an idea of how not all sharks are the same, and that sharks aren‘t scary animals.

ChristinB I will utilize UDL 8.3 Foster collaboration and community. As well as ESOL strategy 9 note taking strategies as I will create a t chart for the information from the book. This website https://www.americanreadingathome.com/bookstore/book/9781634372886/ is the only one I can find that gives more information about the story and what teachers should focus on as the students read it. #UCFLAE3414F17 6y
DominiqueL I think your use in the classroom is great. I love sharks and think that their is such a negative stigma towards them. This book can foster a good and healthy relationship towards sharks from a young age! 6y
