In order to avoid going to a doctor's appointment, Sammy pretends to be different kinds of animals that couldn't get to the doctor's office. Once there, he finds that getting a shot isn't as bad as he thought it would be. Social and emotional learning concepts include dealing with fear. Book includes a note to caregivers and story coaching. A Readers Theater version is available online so that children can benefit from dramatic interpretation.

The heatwave has arrived. Went for a walk after dinner when it wasn't 30 degrees out, just to feel like I've done something today. It's too hot 😒😂🔥
Got my stitches removed yesterday but apparently they'd been useless and the wound opened up again, so I'm still not allowed to do any #bfc exercise 😩 I am, however, absolutely /crushing/ my book goal, which I'm super excited about! Here's to flesh vessels doing their jobs just for ONCE 🥂

Today, I was awakened by a cramp in my calf, scraped my foot while jumping off a rock, and accidentally reopened a scab on my arm. Ow. At least I had the day off work, so I could relax with a book! Spent some time catching up on Cress. And at least I have a purple Star Wars Band-Aid.

My roommates family is staying with us in our two bedroom apartment and now I also have a migraine, so I don't think I will be getting much reading done these next few days! The good news is that I almost have all of my books for my secret Santa match! I just need to accept that I may not be able to read them all before sending them out! 😂
