8 posts | 33 read | 8 to read
Jack Travis leads the uncomplicated life of a millionaire Texas playboy. He makes no commitments, he loves many women, he lives for pleasure. But no one has ever truly touched his heart or soul. Until one day, a woman appears on his doorstep with fury on her face and a baby in her arms. It seems Jack is the father and this woman is the baby's aunt. The real mother has abandoned the child to her more responsible sister. And now, Jack is being called upon to take responsibility for the first time in his life. With delicious romantic tension, characters so real they walk onto the page and into your heart, Lisa Kleypas delivers the kind of novel that makes you laugh, love; cry and cheer. BONUS MATERIAL INCLUDED: 1st chapter of Lisa Kleypas's newest novel RAINSHADOW ROAD, coming February 2012.RAINSHADOW ROAD: Lucy Marinn is a glass artist living in mystical, beautiful, Friday Harbor, Washington. She is stunned and blindsided by the most bitter kind of betrayal: her fianc Kevin has left her. His new lover is Lucy's own sister. Lucy's bitterness over being dumped is multiplied by the fact that she has constantly made the wrong choices in her romantic life. Facing the severe disapproval of Lucy's parents, Kevin asks his friend Sam Nolan, a local vineyard owner on San Juan Island, to "romance" Lucy and hopefully loosen her up and get her over her anger. Complications ensue when Sam and Lucy begin to fall in love, Kevin has second thoughts, and Lucy discovers that the new relationship in her life began under false pretenses. Questions about love, loyalty, old patterns, mistakes, and new beginnings are explored as Lucy learns that some things in lifeeven after being brokencan be made into something new and beautiful.

I read it in Indonesian and it was a roller-coaster 😄
Jack Travis was surely the man that we all need, supportive, protective but not over.
Also Ella and her vulnerability made her beautiful. Maybe I should read this in English, because there were parts that I found it quite boring but it was still okay.

#songsofsummer @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks @OriginalCyn620 #smooth This is a great romance in the Travis series by Kleypas. The male lead is pretty swoon worthy, and the female lead is feisty and strong.

Just as I‘m rereading a favorite from Lisa Kleypas, I see that she and Beverly Jenkins at the Strand next month! **happy dances** It‘s $15. #BestOfRomance

“I respect you,” he murmured. “And your views. I think of you as an equal. I respect your brains, and all those big words you like to use. But I also want to rip your clothes off and have sex with you until you scream and cry and see God.”

I have been on a romance e-book binge recently. My car is in the shop awaiting expensive car surgery, and romance novels are my comfort reads. Got the recommendation for this book from the Smart Podcast, Trashy Books #podcast. Turns out to be the 3rd book in the series. I had already read book four without realizing it was a series. Now on to books one and two!
