#ReadAway2024 #SeriesLove2024

Read this follow novella to The Naturals series on the plane to & from Hilo. It picks up 5-ish years from when book 4 ended & finds Cassie & the group working on running the program they were in as teens. also there are flashbacks to the team at age 12 & a case to solve involving someone from a past case. Overall it‘s good but a bit ambitious for a novella as we aren‘t able to go very deeply. It would make a good ⬇️

DebinHawaii … transition to a spin-off series about the new group but it‘s been a few years since its release so that likely won‘t happen although the books are still popular, so maybe? I would have liked more with the whole team together too but still a pick. 11mo

Pickpick

This picks up 6 years after the novels leave off. The case presented in this one was interesting & had a nice twist, but there was something missing. It felt a bit rushed, not just because there was a clock ticking down, creating a sense of urgency & suspense, but because the time usually spent with the characters & their development was missing. This was like a 2 hour movie paring down to a 1/2 hour show with half the cast. Good but not great.
