I‘ve loved this book forever & need to buy myself a copy. It‘s the story of a princess who‘s told that the world is too dangerous & wild for her. Like many princesses before her, she‘s locked in a tower where it‘s “safe.” On her 7th birthday, she receives a box filled with red yarn & a note that reads, “Knit what you want.” She makes herself a red wolf suit, escapes, grows huge, dances, & howls. She sees the wild, dangerous world & loves it.

monalyisha The illustrations are utterly gorgeous. This is my favorite one. The way her hair blends into the forest floor, as if she & the woods are one, FLOORS ME. If the natural world is wild & dangerous then so is she. She‘s like, “Forest: your heart & mine are the same!” (edited) 7y
monalyisha Also, will someone who plans to have kids please see me for names? The princess‘ name is Roselupin & I think Rose Lupin (middle name “Lupin”) would be a kick-ass name for a daughter.👌🏻 7y
