I took the old #aglophileapril playlist and made some upgrades 💁🏻‍♀️ so pull out your tea and porkpies and God save the Queen 👑

Kimberlone Oooh! Love the theme! I am going to try to follow along in April, even though my track record for daily challenges is not good... 6y

Book 3 of 4. Once again, White has captured Meg and her fears during a kidnapping and captivity. Even in bleak moments, Meg is funny and bookish. Moreover, the first two books build to this point. Can't wait to see how this resolves in the last book.

Some #multiplecopies for today's #seasonsreadings2016. I also have this on e-book (if they had audiobook available, I'd own that, too). With Ellen Emerson White books, if I see one of her books at a used book store or a library book sale, I buy it. If they come out with a brand new edition, I buy it. I've been reading her books since the early 1990s, so I own A LOT of different editions of some of her books! 😂😂

merelybookish Based on these covers, hard to believe it's the same book! 8y
GlitteryOtters @merelybookish I know, right?! I have multiple copies of the other books in this series, but I feel the covers vary most widely on this title, so I thought it would be a fun one to share! 8y
RealLifeReading Another new to me writer! 8y
GlitteryOtters @RealLifeReading she is my favorite author publishing today. She's also a really good photographer, her Instagram posts are often some of my favorites. I wish she published more often. Her next book will be published on Valentine's Day and I am literally counting down the days (she also wrote under several pseudonyms) 8y

5 out of 5 stars (spoiler alert: I give all 4 books in this series 5 stars-I love it that much). The 3rd book in a series about a girl whose mother is the US president. The main character is kidnapped & detained by terrorist who have no intention of releasing her. Can she survive? Can she escape? Can she make it back home to the White House? A very intense & suspenseful read, feels brutally honest & realistic.

AshleyS @GlitteryOtters I ordered the first book in this series because of your reviews! 8y
GlitteryOtters Yay, @AshleyS ! I hope you like it! I've noticed that you & I regularly like a lot of the same books, I hope this ends up being one of them. Also, I still can't believe how young she was when she wrote that book...if I remember correctly, I think she was 24? 😳 My inner writer is sad that I wasn't even half as good as that at 24. 8y
