Jin Rayne is having trouble adjusting to the new life hes supposed to love. Instead of adapting to being the mate of tribe leader Logan Church, Jin can't get past the fact that his lover was straight before they met. He's discovered the joy in belonging to Logan but fears his new life could disappear at a moments notice, despite Logan's insistence that they are forever, end of story. Jin wants to trust Logan, but that desire will be put to the test both by a rival tribe leader and by a startling revelation about Jin's existence. At stake is Jin's life and his place in the tribe. If he's going to survive to see Logan again, he'll have to release his fear and freely accept the bond, for only then can he truly trust.

Mehso-so

This one doesn‘t exactly start great. The MC gets sexually assaulted, then the things get worse from there 😕. This book may appeal to the readers who like their darlings to suffer & suffer before the happily ever after and the inevitable triumph, but for me it was almost too much.

I‘m seriously reconsidering continuing this series.

(Although, knowing me, I‘ll probably give it one more chance.)

Barely so-so.

Pickpick

Good second book in a series, it doesn‘t lose momentum. Lots of references to Egyptian gods/mythology in both books, more in the second but a lot of it takes place in Egypt so that makes sense. Kidnapping, physical violence, and threats of rape in this one. There‘s a fated mate concept in the series but it‘s much more possessive than I‘ve read before. I like the series but I wouldn‘t recommend it to anyone who might find these themes difficult.

I‘m reading this next, thank goodness for Hoopla. I‘ve seen this meme before but it‘s funny how it shows up on my FB feed as I‘m reading a series about werepanthers. It‘s a sign I‘m supposed to read this series, right? Or maybe get a house panther of my own?

wanderinglynn How sweet! ❤️🐱 I want a house panther too! I have a house tiger, but I think he needs a friend. 😉 6y
jpmcwisemorgan @wanderinglynn I‘m going to agree that your tiger might need a panther friend. 6y

Riveted_Reader_Melissa I should warn you though, if you get one this size you have to do the overnight bottle feedings and everything. But they grow fast and it‘s totally worth it. 6y
CouronneDhiver Adorable! 🖤 6y
Ddzmini Awe so cute 😍 6y
APLitlife So sweet! 6y
OrangeMooseReads A house is incomplete without a house panther (unless you are allergic or are a monster that doesn‘t like cats (yes a joke)) 6y
ghosthost Aww! Those eyes! And the tiny claws! 😻 6y
Yellowpigeon I call our tuxedo the house panther. I really want this kitten. 6y
jpmcwisemorgan @Riveted_Reader_Melissa I‘d probably adopt a slightly older cat that was out of the kitten phase, tbh. But I‘d still call it a house panther. 6y
jpmcwisemorgan @Yellowpigeon I‘ve wanted a cat for awhile now and every time I see this meme I want one even more. @OrangeMooseReads Yes! My house is incomplete without a house panther. 6y
