Injustice 2 Vol. 1
Injustice 2 Vol. 1 | Tom Taylor
9 posts | 18 read | 9 to read
The start of an all-new saga in the alternate DC Universe of the smash-hit Warner Bros. Interactive fighting game is here in INJUSTICE 2 VOL. 1! The war is over. But a new battle is about to begin. After years of conflict and carnage, Batman and his rebel allies have finally triumphed over their tyrannical foe, Superman. Now the Man of Steel is behind bars, and the Dark Knight holds the future of the world in his hands. But that future is about to slip from his grasp. Superman still has many friends who will work tirelessly to free their leader from captivity. And a new force is about to emerge from the shadows. A winged warrior is assembling a Suicide Squad of the worlds most dangerous villains to pursue plans of his own, by any means necessary. And this man in black is out to claim the mantle of the Batman himself. As old foes and new enemies collide, can Bruce Wayne preserve the fragile peace for which so many heroes have sacrificed? Or is a new era of injustice about to dawn? From the acclaimed creative team of Tom Taylor and Bruno Redondo, INJUSTICE 2 VOL. 1 collects INJUSTICE 2 #1-6.

Mehso-so

Here we go again...Batman and his allies against a force that's convinced violence is the answer. More death, more manipulation. Though this combatant as the lead of a new antagonistic team seems nostalgically traditional compared to Injustice Superman. We'll see how things unfold!

All thanks go to Panda Redd (and my library's hoopla subscription) for coming in clutch with a superbly timed video to let my cluelessness know that Injustice: Gods Among Us isn't just a prequel to a video game, it's just the FIRST set of graphic novels in this series. Makes so much more sense. Not even Storygraph's series linkages saved me from ignorance this time. 🤦🏼‍♂️

A Book Outlet kind of #bookhaul. @TheBookAddict treats me so fiiine. She knows me so well. I feel like I have reading material and writing inspiration for the next month at this point, but I'll have these read in a couple days MAX. My favorite graphic novel series easily. The story is just unbelievable. Check out episode 7 of our Bookish Impulses Podcast to hear me swoon over it. Lol. (The plug was shameless). #BIP

TheBookAddict 😁 you know I love to see you read! We had to take advantage of #BookOutlet‘s #Booktoberfest sale. (edited) 6y
KennethTolesJr DO. & DID. lol And will again. 6y

WHOAAAAA! This was so fun to read. Joker's madness has driven Superman to insanity. He is now hell-bent on establishing peace by violence, without realising the contradiction in his aim and his ethics. He won't stop at any cost. And any friend that crosses him, is likely to die. Including Batman.

Book mail! Year 5, vol 3 (centre) just arrived today! Love it when Chapters makes an oops and ships before the publishing date.
So excited to start at the beginning and re-read them all together.

I have two #ereader s. My fire "died" so I bought s paper white. I love it! Though I do wish the covers were in color, it is much nicer on my eyes than the fire. I also enjoy the dictionary for harder ?.
But then, my fire became Lazarus. I use it for graphic novels & magazines.
I like trade paperbacks, my paper white, mass market paperbacks, kindle fire, & then hardcovers. I also ❤️ audiobooks for memoirs & comedy books. #seasonsreadings2016

Cspen113 I have both too and my Fire did the same thing! I adore my paperwhite and carry it with me wherever I go. I never liked reading on the Fire that much. Maybe because I was so used to the Kindle/Paperwhite I just never liked how it displayed the books. 7y
Handmade_Redhead I love my Paperwhite. I never leave home (let alone asingle room) without it. I have a suspicion i have a new Voyage under the tree. I read comics in book form. Is the Fire good or is there a lot of scrolling around? 7y
ElizaTodd I ❤️❤️ that cover! 7y

MaleficentBookDragon @Handmade_Redhead Thete is a lot of scrolling. I'm not a fan. I'll buy graphic novels in book form from now on. 7y
MaleficentBookDragon @ElizaTodd Thanks. I do too. 7y
Handmade_Redhead @MaleficentTheBookDragon thank you for the info. I won't bother with the Fire. 7y

Can you really call it peace if that peace is brought about and maintained by force and coercion? That's the question Injustice poses.
