Yay!

Yay! I‘m not ready for Christmas but since I signed up for this ARC and I was approved then I suppose I‘ll read it. Last December, I read horror/mystery/thriller type of books because that was what I was in the mood for and I liked doing that so I feel like I want to do that again this year. I don‘t know if I want to read books that are too Christmasy this year. I like the idea of spooky books during Christmas because I like Halloween.

I have a problem. I‘m behind on the ARCs I signed up to read from The Smuthood PR. I was doing great reading them over the summer but I kept signing up for them. I was approved for a lot of the ones I signed up for and now, I‘m 3 months behind on ARCs. I haven‘t read any of my Aug, Sept or Oct ARCs and I was just sent some Nov ARCs. I think I sign up for them because I don‘t want to miss out on them but maybe I should stop signing up for them.

I haven‘t even read as many spooky books as I want to read. I‘m not in the mood for Christmas. My mind is only focused on spooky season. I want to celebrate Halloween first before I celebrate the other holidays.

Yay! Maybe I should stop signing up for ARCs from The Smuthood PR because I‘m behind on reading them but I‘ve enjoyed the books I get to read from them. This is the second book in the Rock City Renegades series. This is a football romance series. The first book I read was Mr. Irrelevant and I liked that one. The second book is following Emmett and Stella. I don‘t know if I remember who they are or not.

Yay! I haven‘t read book 1 yet but that‘s okay. I‘ll read it when I have time and then I‘ll read this book afterwards.

I‘m reading this book right now and I‘m so bored. This couple was introduced in the first book of the series so I was excited to read about them in this book but so far, the story feels flat and I don‘t think they have chemistry. They haven‘t even known each other very long and they‘re already interested in each other. I don‘t get it. If it doesn‘t get better then I‘ll DNF this book.

I‘m starting Mr. Irrelevant by C.L. Rose and it has a 10 page football glossary. I just got done reading it. I know football season is going to be starting soon. It‘s preseason for football now but I don‘t understand football terminology or football. I also don‘t understand baseball and baseball terminology. I don‘t understand basketball or basketball terminology either. If I watch sports, I don‘t understand what‘s going on at all.

I‘m using my reading journal to help me track the ARCs I‘m being sent and the release dates for them. I was sent all of these in July. I only read Wrangled Love and The Sleepover. I didn‘t have time to read the other ARCs so I‘ll be carrying over the rest of these into August. I‘ve already started Savage Revenge so I‘m off to a good start already but I need to get back to it.

I started this ARC today from The Smuthood PR. I‘m on chapter 1 and I‘m not finished reading chapter 1 yet but I like it so far.

I posted my review online for this book and I just sent off my review links to The Smuthood PR. I was supposed to send my review links on or before July 21 but that didn‘t happen. The rule they have is not to tag them or the author in my post if I rated the book less than 4 stars so I didn‘t tag them or the author in my Instagram post because I rated the book 3 stars.

I have review link deadlines coming up for these ARCs I signed up for and I have a feeling I‘ll be late submitting my review links. I‘ve already missed the deadline to submit my review link for The Sleepover too. I wanted to read all of these but maybe I shouldn‘t have signed up for all of them because I don‘t read very fast. I don‘t know why I thought I could read all of these right now. I can read them. I‘ll just be late reviewing them.

Yay! I was approved for 2 more ARCs from The Smuthood PR. I‘m not finished yet with the first ARC they sent me this month. Maybe I‘ll get finished with it tonight. I still have other ARCs that I need to read.

Yay! I was approved for this ARC from The Smuthood PR. The Sleepover by Daisy Jane is not on Litsy so I‘ll be tagging it under Super Smutty Sign Language.

After reading this book, I learned what a Jacob‘s Ladder piercing is. The main male character has one. It‘s a piercing that‘s done on the underside of the penis. A guy can choose to have one piercing down there or multiple ones but the piercing resembles a ladder. I had to Google it because I didn‘t know what it was. I‘ve never heard of it before. Why would a guy want to have that done? That sounds like that would hurt.

I really didn‘t want to ask for more time to finish this book and get it reviewed and now, I don‘t have to. Yay!

I just finished reading Filthy Little Regrets and I see at the back of the book that more books are coming in this series which is great because I really liked the side characters in this. I‘m looking forward to reading the next 2 books. I don‘t know when they‘re coming out. It just says coming soon. I want to read Pretty Little Threats.

I got really far in this book tonight while doing laundry. I wish I could‘ve kept on going but I had to stop because my eyes started hurting. I need to rest my eyes. I had 3 hours left in the ebook and now, I have 21 minutes left. I just have the epilogue left to read now. I didn‘t know reading ebooks for a long time without taking breaks causes your eyes to start hurting. I only took a break to do laundry and that was it.

I‘m reading this ARC and I just learned about a piercing on the male genitals mentioned in this book called a Jacob‘s Ladder. I thought,”What is that?” And I just googled it and I thought,”Doesn‘t that hurt guys to have that done?” The male main character in this book has that piercing. I‘ve never heard of this before. It‘s amazing what you can learn from reading books.

I‘m enjoying this book. I have 3 hours left in the ebook. This dark romance book has the enemies to lovers trope. I don‘t think I‘ve ever read a romance novel with that trope in it before but I like what I‘ve read so far.

Happy Publication Day to this book! I‘m not done reading it. I‘m still reading it for The Smuthood PR and it‘s not on Litsy but I still wanted to hype the book up on publication day anyway. I‘m enjoying it. I want to read the first book next. This is the second book in this series. I don‘t know if there will be other books following different couples.

This book is being published on June 26. I‘m still reading it and I‘m enjoying it. I won‘t be finished on time but I am enjoying this book. I was told that I have until July 1 to submit my review. I‘ve been reading this book every night. I signed up for this book from The Smuthood PR but I didn‘t think I was going to be accepted for it so when it was emailed to me, I decided to start reading it.
