This is a very long poem but it is so well written. All lovers of poetry should read it at least once. Read the full poem here: https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/43997/the-rime-of-the-ancient-mariner-tex...

Lcsmcat I remember studying this in 9th grade. 5y
TheSpineView @Lcsmcat I took a Romantic literature class in college and read all of Coleridge, Lord Byron, Wordsworth and both Shelleys. It was a lot of reading! 5y
Lcsmcat That‘s my weak spot, poetically speaking. I love earlier and later poetry, but haven‘t spent much time with the Romantics. 5y
TheSpineView @Lcsmcat It is a real talent to write these epic poems. ❤ 5y

"Winter slumbering in the open air, / Wears on his smiling face a dream of Spring!" - Phil Conners (and Samuel Taylor Coleridge) #igotyoubabe #bing

Y'know, Groundhog Day is such a literary movie. When Phil gives up on winning Rita and begins to improve himself just for the sake of doing it, he begins by reading. The scene in the picture is when he's in the diner reading, then he smiles and looks around. READERS KNOW THAT MOMENT! "I just read something that changed my life! Did anyone else feel it too?" #igotyoubabe #bing

DivineDiana I love this! 8y
Gissy I loved that movie! 8y

Just finished a new episode on the history behind Samuel Taylor Coleridge's wonderful fragment "Kubla Khan"! I adore Coleridge ("Ancient Mariner" is my favorite poem of all time!) and was really pleased with how this came out. Check it out! https://youtu.be/5ZD4QL8o-q8
