Alex Cross meet The Wolf for the first time 🐺 🐺🐺🐺
Break time, starting my next Alex cross book while waiting for my new books to come in the mail 👏 #thirdshift
I feel like this book was kind of flat compared to the previous Alex Cross books. Alex is having to start his new position with the FBI and he is struggling to find where his place is.
The best book hunters scour the stacks while everyone else is asleep. Because sleep is for the weak. Big Bad Wolf the Midnight-to-Dawn Edition (1 am - 6 am). Overnight bus trip to KL for this 24-hour book fair and returning back home to Singapore this morning. No sleep for books!
My first Patterson book has turned out to be a disappointing introduction. Maybe I shouldn't have started mid-series but I found Cross to be a forgettable protagonist. I didn't dislike him, just found him rather too nice. The villain, the Wolf, was interesting. But while the first 200 pages built the story nicely, the last 100 didn't deliver a satisfactory or entertaining enough ending. However I will give Patterson another try at some point.
A colleague gave me this the other month. Not sure if it'll be my thing but I'm giving it a go. Never read any of Patterson's work before. And I know the old cliché of not judging a book by its cover but the cover looks awful! Hopefully the book itself won't be.
This was the first book i read by James Patterson. The one that beging my love and honestly obsession with his work. I had to own anybook written by him. I have a pretty big collection of his boom and out of all his Alex Cross series still my most loved one but this book still my favorite of all.
I have to say I was disappointed and pretty ticked with this installment of the series. Alex leaves the Washington PD for imaginary work life balance with the FBI. Which is basically insane since all his previous cases were made worse by FBI involvement. Christine is back for little Alex and her character was completely ruin for no apparent reason other to let Alex have his uptenth love interest. Hoping the installment will be better.
I'm proud to say I came home early, cooked dinner, hung out with kid and did a little reading 📖 no extra work tonight 😄
Found my name reading Big Bad Wolf today. I know it's pronounced differently but still cool 😎
I know I should be putting in extra hours working but I choose Alex across and wine 🍷
