The art in this is so mature, if that makes sense. Feels really adult…and serious. Like I‘m reading a comic with more gravity and worth than usual. I get a lot out of these Earth One books; they‘re kind of in another league.

Also, props to this book for having the hardest cover ever.

Green Lantern isn't my favorite but Hardman does an incredible job re-imagining Hal Jordan's origin story. Instead of a fighter pilot, Hal is an astronaut. This book has a blisteringly fast pace.

I'm so thrilled that our book was nominated for an Eisner Award! I've never been nominated before. Guess I'll be going to San Diego in July! #comic #scifi

Gorgeous art and a reasonably inventive reboot make this one of the few successful Earth One books, though Wonder Woman Earth One remains the only book in the series that didn‘t feel 50 pages too short. There is some fun stuff in the margins and fuck do I like the look of it, but this could have used room to breathe. Still, an engaging reboot from an ambitious creative team. I‘m interested in more.

A more dystopian, sci-fi version of Green Lantern. I liked the alternate take and some of the twists it took. It felt like it could have been longer though. It‘s 144 pages but parts of it felt rushed. Still recommend it for the artwork and the story by the husband and wife writers of Invisible Republic who don‘t seem to be afraid to potentially piss off fans of other versions of the character.
