10/150 Since it was cold and miserable outside, and I was sick and miserable inside, I spent the day with a hot cup of tea, Doctor Watson and Sherlock Holmes. None of the stories stood out as the best Holmes tales I've read, but all were enjoyable and contained interesting mysteries. 3 ⭐⭐⭐💫

RamsFan1963 @AkashaVampie I grew up on the Basil Rathbone version, but I like Jeremy Brett and Benedict Cumberbatch. Have you ever seen Murder By Decree? Christopher Plummer made a great Sherlock too. 2y
AkashaVampie @RamsFan1963 no I have not. I'm a youngen, so only have seen the newer ones like Benedict, Robert, and the one that plays in Elementary. 2y

Lizpixie Christopher Plummer made every part awesome! I loved watching his movies as a kid, especially the horror. I loved Benedict Cumberbatchs Sherlock but I also liked the version Robert Downey Jnr did as well. 2y
RamsFan1963 @Lizpixie Are you thinking of Christopher Plummer or Christopher Lee? I don't know that Plummer did very many horror movies. I can't think of any other than the awful Dracula 2000 where he played Van Helsing. 2y
Lizpixie You‘re right! How embarrassing🤦🏻‍♀️ My brother & sister used to have to babysit my younger sister & I on Friday nights and they made us watch the Friday Night Creature Feature, all those classic b&w horror movies with Vincent Price, Bela Lugosi, Boris Karloff & yes, Christopher Lee. Scared the crap out of us at 7! 2y

On certain days, my friend Sherlock Holmes would invariably wear a scowl, which further lengthened his saturnine face.

I am posting one book per day from my extensive to-be-read collection. No description or reason for wanting to read the book. Some are old and some will be new. Don't judge me - I have a lot of books.
