Broken Government: How Republican Rule Destroyed the Legislative, Executive, and Judicial Branches | 
I‘m trying not to panic about that fact that I may be not working for awhile due to the government shutdown. I‘m really hoping congress can come to some sort of an agreement over the weekend.
5 billion for a border wall is ridiculous. Walls didn‘t work for China or Berlin. It‘s a terrible idea and I wish everyone in congress could come to an agreement that doesn‘t play with 800,000 federal employees lives over the holidays.

Traci1 My husband is in the same boat. Except he is required to still work. Just not getting paid for it for however long this goes on. He was scheduled off Sunday through Wednesday, but now all that has been cancelled so he'll be working (without pay) through Christmas. It sucks. 😠 6y

That-Bookish-Hiker @Traci1 ugh that‘s terrible! My manager has to work too. What was the point of giving federal employees as a paid holiday and then close the government? Let‘s hope they can come to some sort of an agreement today so your husband can be spending time with his family. 🤞🏼🤞🏼 6y

Schnoebs I‘m sorry you have to deal with this. So many people that want this shut down obviously don‘t know anyone that has to deal with the consequences of these actions. I‘m so sorry you are experiencing this. I hope this gets resolved quickly 6y

Amandajoy Government shutdowns are stupid and childish. I remember panicking when I was affected by the one a couple years ago. Hopefully they resolve it soon & stop trying to get the damn wall built. 6y
