It's 1943 and the war has brought rationing to the Hebridean islands of Great and Little Todday. I‘ve never read anything by this author and thought I‘d take a chance on this 1947 comedic novel set in Scotland (I always thought I‘d like to start with his Monarch of the Glen, but 🤷🏻‍♀️). Has anyone read it? How about you, @Crinoline_Laphroaig ? 😆
