This book was such a wonderful read for me as a middle school librarian. I plan to talk with the social workers at my schools about these essays so they can help find the right readers for this anthology.

I learned so much from the bravery of these authors and connected with a couple from my own family experiences. Highly recommend for all readers.

I‘ve read books by several of the authors who contributed to this, and know a few people who struggle with some form of mental illness, so this book definitely piqued my interest. A worthwhile read. Recommend it.

This is a fantastic YA book about mental illness. 31 authors wrote beautiful, insightful, and honest essays about living with mental illness or living with someone with mental illness. Bipolar, depression, anxiety and PTSD are all common themes. The authors were incredibly brave and open. If you have a mental illness or have someone in your life or are just curious, I recommend this book.

Now that I'm done editing my similarly-themed anthology, I'm ready for this I think.

This book. I love this book so much. “ He taught me the brain is just an organ like any other. No different than the heart or the kidneys or the liver. That a psychiatrist treats chemical imbalances in the brain the same way doctors treat chronic illness in the body: with proper medical monitoring and medication...so why is a person stigmatized for taking a drug that helps correct a chemical imbalance in their brain?”
