Visit the Upperearth, where dwell the gods; the Underearth, the realm of nightmarish demons; the Innerearth, domain of the dead; and the Flat Earth itself, the home of mortals. Azhrarn holds in his heart a mystery which could alter the very existence of the Flat Earth forever. From the Paperback edition.

“Night‘s Master is like a treasure chest spilled open with cascading dreams of silk, jewels, demon horses, perfumes, spices, tapestries, and (most precious of all) a sense of wonder.”

Love this description. This was a great beginning to Lee‘s arabesque fantasy series Tales from the Flat Earth. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was a lot of fun to reread after finishing the series! Thankfully the person I buddy read with liked it too. I may have made a new Tanith Lee fan. 😊

I enjoyed how the shorts stories wove together though the entire book.

Daisy feels I should include a specific warning on this book. If starting #NightsMaster, after recently reading #GatherTheDaughters, prepare for your experience to be a bit...skewed. I think that's the least spoilery way to put it. I tried to explain to her that we readers can handle it, but she sees us humans as a weak lot. Rude. Also, typical cat thinking.
