I got these about 10 years ago when I was visiting Atlanta, GA. While it could be depressing how relevant King's message still is today, his story is nonetheless inspiring, and many of his philosophies are still in practice today, whether intentionally or subconsciously.

#ReadJanuary day 16 - #InspiredbyMartinLutherKingJr

I share a birthday with Martin Luther King, Jr. I remember being proud about that even in kindergarten. Dr. King's wife and son became vegan later in life, and both have been quoted as saying that it was a natural progression of his message. Veganism hinges on non-violence, and speaking up for animals who can't.

We are living in a divided world right now. Speak up. It matters.

Godmotherx5 Happy birthday 🎉🎊 9y

This will be the first year in a long time I'm not volunteering on MLK Day, but I will keep my mind on the struggle of others with these reads tomorrow.
