For #blackoutTuesday and #blackpublishingpower I went and splurged on a trilogy. Books 1 and 2 are out now, but I‘ll have to wait til April 2021 for book 3.

Most of the new/newer titles were sold out so I will have to try again for those later.

Plus I supported indies by using Bookshop.org.

Black Lives Matter | Edwards, Sue Bradford

I've seen in several places that using the blm tag for black out Tuesday posts is screwing up the algorithm and burying valuable info that protesters need. Probably not much of an issue on here. If you are posting via Instagram or Facebook or Twitter please be cognizant of this. #blackouttuesday

Chrissyreadit Any recommendations for a picture book or story book elementary age for African American Muslim children? I want to get as a gift. Both parents immigrated and both children faced racism and discrimination in a previous school- so would love positive upbeat own voices book to send them. 4y

Tristan Strong Destroys the World (a Tristan Strong Novel, Book 2) | Kwame Mbalia

Book 1 was so amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and the author just had a baby. Book number two and I need it NOW!!!! I will say this cover is a bit pink.

julesG Pink is a very manly colour. ? I'm going to check whether the first book is available in translation already. My lazy kids don't want to read in English at the moment, but love to talk in "Gernglish" (terrible mix of German and English) all day. 4y

LibrarianRyan @julesG I like pink and think more books with male protagonists should use it. It was just an odd choice after the first one. I know the author tweeted new translations are coming out, I just didn't pay attention to which ones. I believe @Wonderwoman89 has my copy for #LMPBC. I am really glad they didn't change the style. They changed the Style of Sal and Gabi and I don't like it as well. 4y
