I have mixed feelings about this one, which is my January #DoubleSpin. It seemed to be going down one route then switched, introduced a couple of new plot lines, and started to feel rather messy, and the early plot line was left hanging until almost the end, when it got wrapped up neatly in about 30 seconds. I enjoyed it, but felt that it didn‘t live up to the promise of its opening chapters.

My first week of #BFC21 was a bit of a disaster, so I picked myself up, dusted myself off, and started all over again yesterday. So the above are the stats for #BFC21 Reset Day 1!

I‘m not disappointed with any of those figures, as I had a lovely day with my boyfriend, and I have 6 days to catch up on shortfalls. The important thing is that I fully tracked everything I ate, so I know exactly what I need to pull back for the rest of the week.

A new co-worker gave me this one to read a few weeks ago. This domestic thriller kept my attention enough to finish it but I guessed the reveal rather early on. I thought the character of Ruby, the teenage daughter was well done. Recognized the angst.

Good pacing and suspense. The twist came in a way I never expected, which is rare but always welcomed. Parts seemed unlikely, but it kept my attention

Linda green will be an author I keep my eye on. This book had me crying it a story of family of tragedy of well buried secrets that can haunt a family. Beautifully written about a very hard hitting topic but can this family rise above history. If you want a book that will grab you emotionally and keep you reading through the tears this is the one 💜
