I really enjoyed this little book. It allowed me to travel to the remote taiga, with the detective in search of this couple fleeing to the end of the world, as taken by a spell.
I absolutely loved the writing, very poetic, but I was quite lost by the magical realism... I felt like in a dream, with a blurry frontier between reality and the unreal or fantastic.
I'm really glad to have discovered this author, thanks to Dorothy Project.
This was a truly surreal book. I always adored the writing, didn‘t always 100% understand what was happening but the writing and the atmosphere were so flawless I didn‘t really mind not understanding. It wasn‘t as perfect as the iliac crest probably, but i truly recommend it if you want lyrical, unsettling, cerebral, dreamy horror.
