My first bail of the year. I listened to a couple hours of this audiobook and just can‘t get into it. Based on Litsy reviews I am not missing out on anything. This was also my #bookspin book for this month.
Starting this one tonight! Has a warning note from the author about some trigger topics!
Picked this book because the art on the cover! Have no idea what it's about or what I'm getting into lol.
Barnes and Noble run with Guinness.
This book did not work for me. There is a major relationship between a teen and the father of the girl she babysits. It‘s approached as if it is fine in a way that made me uncomfortable. The book did address with the age gap, but not in a way that made it clear it was wrong.
"For all of us that grew up too fast with only ourselves to rely on: I want you to know that everything you did, you did to survive.
And you made it. You are here, reading these words.
You are strong. You are beautiful.
I can't see you, but I know you're there."
