I am bailing on this one. Not something I do often, but I‘m just really not feeling it. I usually love bizarre stories, but I can‘t get into this one.

I feel like I won the lottery in having @JulAnna as my sender in the postal book club. She sent these lovely bookish flowers for Valentine's day and the end of the cycle. I looked up the book they're made from (book posted under) and it looks like a book right up my alley. #gameoftomes
A strange, delightful, fucked-up fever dream of a mythology. Not for everyone, but I really enjoyed it.
The day, like a seagull hunting sardines, fell out of the sky to devour every shadow.
Book 5 down for #24in48! I seriously do not even know what I just read. It was great though & very well-written. It's sort of like if Chaucer, Hans Christian Anderson, the Brothers Grimm, and Aesop all had a fever dream orgy together in the Himalayas of Chile. So weird, but in the best way possible. Lots of mythological supernatural layers to this. Also lots of sexy times. I'll actually review it sometime when I have more time to think on it. 🏜
Starting #24in48 Readathon. Just look at the art in this book! Just as weird as I described in my last post but it's so good. I'm starting with this book because it's short & engaging. It'll kick me off with some good momentum. Love anything supernatural. I'll be updating here, but I'll also periodically check into Twitter, Instagram, & my new blog. (Links in profile.) Feel free to follow! Where else will you be posting?🖊
Friday relaxing at Starbucks. Sometimes all you need is an introvert corner in a coffee shop, some reading, and a sweet treat. Looking forward to reading this book! The cover says it's a Chilean supernatural love and horror story where an albino giantess has the allure to turn men into beasts. She goes on a quest to find a magical cactus that will cure her and the men she has affected before the town consumes itself. 🌵 #WNDB
Although parts of it can feel rushed (maybe better adapted for a film sequence) or out of place, there's still some substance beneath the simplicity. Lots of the religious symbolism inherent in most of his work and a copious amount of copulation.
I've read some creative fantasy before and have easily been bored or lost! But Albina and the Dog-Men was NOT that at all! A fantastic love story at its core that is rock solid WEIRD & at times disturbing but immensely interesting & thought provoking 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
