A necromantic horror series about an upstart crime family trafficking in a new designer drug thats just hit the market made from the ashes of the dead. A new drug is sweeping through the streets of New Orleansone made from the ashes of the dead. Wars are being fought over who will control the supply, and the demand is rising. While the various criminal factions collide, users begin to experience terrifying visions of the dead coming back to life...through them. Eisner Award-nominated author Cullen Bunn (Harrow County, The Empty Man) and illustrator Jonas Scharf team up for Bone Parish, a haunting blend of horror and crime that takes an unflinching look at how we connect toand disconnect fromthe world around us.

This is a review for all 3 volumes of the crime horror gn series Bone Parish. Set in New Orleans, Bone Parish tells of Ash: a chemically modified hallucinogenic street drug largely consisting of human cremated remains. When other crime families realize the profit potential for ash there are definitely some problems for the sole suppliers: the Winters. I loved everything about this strange series. From the characters to the locale to the premise.

vivastory (Cont) It was nice to read another Cullen Bunn work. Harrow County is one of my favorite horror graphic novel series of all time & I only found out about Bone Parish by searching the library catalog. Libraries for the win! (edited) 4mo

Since reading Harrow County, I decided to find more comics by Cullen Bunn. This one is fairly new, and it is focused on a drug made from the bodies of the dead-one can experience their lives and see what they experienced, but it comes at a cost. And the family who makes this compound will not allow others to take over their business.

A good pick for readers who like horror mixed with family crime #graphicnovels #horror

Psychedelic drugs made from the dead are sold under the name “Ash” on the streets of New Orleans. This collection includes the first four issues. Creepy and creative.

Gathering the first four issues of the comic, this tells the story of a family that is selling a designer drug made from the ashes of the dead. While the story has a lot of potential and this volume sets up a strong scenario for future issues, the story is primarily a drug story with some horror elements. I look forward to future installments.

GrilledCheeseSamurai I've read the 1st 2 issues and enjoyed it so far! Gonna haveta pick up the rest on comixology! 🤘 5y
