Enchanted prince or just a plain old frog? Pucker up, princesses! There's only one way to find out... Fairy tales are just stories--or so Princess Martha believes. But when her sisters meet a talking frog, they're convinced that giving him the royal treatment will turn him into Prince Charming. After all, that's what happens in their story books. Martha isn't so sure. The more she sees of Prince Ribbit, the more suspicious she becomes. Armed with the facts, Martha sets out to expose Prince Ribbit and prove to her sisters that "just because it's in a book doesn't mean it's true." But before "The End," Princess Martha might just learn that lesson for herself! Jonathan Emmett's clever twist on the "The Frog Prince" pits a spunky, bespectacled princess against a sly amphibian to teach a charming lesson on the pitfalls of trusting everything you read

This story teaches the lesson of the value of friendships over appearances which is such a good lesson especially for upper elementary students who start to become more concerned with apperances

Princess Martha becomes friends with a talking frog. He could turn into a prince with a kiss but she would rather just be friends and wants him to stay the same instead of trying to change him

Found a book character that looks like me. Change those blue eyes to green and the likeness is uncanny.

Prince RIbbit was written by Jonathan Emmett and illustrated by Poly Bernatene. This book is about three sisters who come across a frog who happens to be a prince. The sisters take care of him; however, one sister, Martha, was the only one who saw Prince Ribbit for who he really was. At the end of the story, Martha kisses the frog, turning him into a handsome man.

This made me laugh! Because they made me think she was the true loves kiss turned him into a real prince but the whole time she was telling us that just because it is in a book does not make it true!

I love how Martha is trying to debunk the Frog but the princesses are just believing the tale and continues to serve the regular talking frog.

This was a silly story about a folktale that was within a story and a frog tricks these two princesses into thinking he was a prince, but the other princess does not believe everything that is in books! It is a great story that is based off the princess and the frog!

This children‘s book is a silly twist on the princess who kisses a frog. The ending ends with the fact “just because it‘s in a book doesn‘t mean it‘s true!” and ends with a different perspective to the tale.

Prince Ribbit, published in 2017 was an amazing read! The story went on to show that being different is more than okay! The story shows a silly side of the princess and the frog tale while also teaching lessons to be your self!

This story is a twist on the princess and the frog. Published in 2016, the digitally enhanced illustrations add the whimsical tale about a frog who desires being a prince. The youngest sister investigates the frog. And the tale is a traditional fairy tale.

In this MF by Jonathan Emmett, we explore a humorous tale about a frog trying to weasel his way into a lavish lifestyle by tricking the princesses. While nearly everyone is wrapped around his slimy finger, one princess is not. Her name is Princess Martha and she has a plan but realizes soon that she must explore different perspectives to reveal the truth. This book is great for a RT.

I really like the page with the super cool illustration of a TON of classic stories I remember from my own childhood, like: the three little pigs, little red riding hood, pinnochio, peter pan, and more.

This is a story of quite a clever, funny frog. The frog in this story has a dream, to live luxuriously, and he comes up with a plan to accomplish this dream. It‘s like the classic story the princess and a frog—but with a twist. This frog is suspicious, and Martha can tell.

Prince Ribbit written by Jonathan Emmett. This book is a “knock off“ of The Princess and the Frog. At one point in the book, there are a lot of references to other fairytales/books which was interesting. It also had a theme or message that was “just because it's in a book doesn't mean it's true“ or in other words, don't always believe what you read until you see it.

This is such a great adaptation of a classic. The colorful illustrations bring life to the story and make it so fun. I loved the ending because it‘s not typical or predictable. This will throw kids off, make them laugh and teach them that just because it‘s in a book doesn‘t make it true.

Prince Ribbit by Jonathan Emmett, 2018. When I looked at the front I thought of princess Merida from the movie “Brave.” As I read I realized it was the princess and the frog. The frog needed to be turned back into a handsome prince. Martha was not living in fantasy land she didn‘t believe the frog was special like her sisters. I liked that the book incorporated other traditional literature. I loved the ending of the book!
