pickThe comic opens far in the future on a scene in a village in the Rocky Mountains of Canada. Battle looms between the government & resistance & a mother hides her daughter in an underground bunker promising that she‘ll come back for her & if she doesn‘t, her daughter is to find & free the Axe. Fantastic worldbuilding,, intriguing premise, & complex characters make this a great 1st issue. I don‘t love the artwork but I‘ll definitely keep reading.

Yay #NCBD!!! Took advantage of the spring(ish) weather—it‘s 48 degrees today—to run over to the comic store during lunch. Lots of buzz about the tagged comic & I was excited to find it. Shuri #6 with Spider-Man on the cover (yay again!), Runaways #19 (with a new artist although Anka did the cover), Wonder Woman #66 (with another phenomenal cover), and Black Science #3. Soon as I‘m done with A Dangerous Collaboration, I‘m diving in!
