The Remedy was just okay for me and it‘s difficult for me to review. I liked it, but I don‘t feel as though I fully understand what happened. A man pays an extreme amount of money for therapy. Maybe it was for therapy…he sees a doctor, but I don‘t even know what happened during his sessions. He leaves feeling great and looks forward to his next appointment. At the end some really mind bending stuff happens. I guess I was just left wanting more.

Strong premise, but such a lame ending. One of the rare times I wish a story was much much longer.

The narrator has an undisclosed illness. His parents send him to a specialist who I think is a psychiatrist or psychologist? Hard to tell. There are some conversations about life, a little bit of suspense, and then an ending that comes out of nowhere. It was weird and it seemed like a last-minute attempt to qualify the story for Amazon's Dark Corners series. The ending doesn't make much sense if you think about it. Ambitious though.

Pickpick

Wait, what?! Whoa, that was effed up! I don't understand how this story has gotten such low reviews. It was very strange; I'll give you that. But, there was just something about it and that ending... Dang!
