Slightly unfocused pic of books I was really looking forward to reading this December but won't have time for. Or, maybe not so much "looking forward to" the Story of O, but it's the last book in my Women's Century Challenge, which I will now fail. ?Not sure whether to start January playing catchup, or make a fresh start and just spread these out a bit over the next several months. (I did at least catch Hogfather on the TV with the kids! ?)

Looking for a good summery book to read on the beach? 🏖📖 I highly recommend The Loose Ends List by Carrie Firestone. I read this last summer and enjoyed it immensely. It's such a delightful, quirky read that can be devoured in one sitting. 🤗💕
If you're a fan of Stephanie Perkins and Sarah Dessen, definitely pick this one up! 😊

I really liked this book. It was absolutely hilarious even though it talked about death 😂 and Enzo is literally a 10/10 I mean dude look at this kid he's hot 😂 and I love Maddie's family, and I love how there's some diversity as a lot of books don't have that. I loved the traveling around the world thing, and I definitely added a few things to my bucket list! Anyways, great book and I totally recommend it!

Don't waste too much time grieving. You've got a lot of living to do 🚢✨

Re-reading this gem. Although sad, it gives out hope and somehow is a good beach read. It's a bit of a modern fairytale, and seems to good to be true. Anyway, a really good re-read. (It's better this time!🙂)

Such a sweet book!

I adored this book. It was beautiful and sad and funny and just such a freaking delight. I enjoyed reading this so much, even when I could hardly see the words through my tears.

Why must I have work in the morning? I'm not tired and.m I want to read all night!

I laughed, I cried, I giggled, I sobbed. #TheLooseEndsList is the absolute perfect summer read. Strong voice. Funny characters. Loved every minute of the #SnowGlobeMoments

I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about this one but it grew on me. I laughed a lot and I cried a lot. This is one I can see myself rereading!

Reluctant pick. I loved the conversations about death and the exploration of personal death decisions. I thought the zany family was a great counterpoint to the seriousness of the topic.

BUT. There were too many characters and the romance was too insta-love and a bit icky.

And again...

"I wonder if he's in heaven...I want him to be there, far away from the demons that betrayed him."

"That's what you should always do, Mads. Take the pain and grow beauty...It's from searing pain that the deepest beauty can sprout."

This book is killing me. I know I've said it already but the silly parts are utterly ridiculous yet these serious moments are so poignant, touching, heartbreaking.

Just when I think this book is getting too silly...

"I've never thought about how brief a sunset is. It's so brief, it's almost cruel."

Read: "I've never thought about how brief a *life* is. It's so brief, it's almost cruel."

Gut-punch.

Every time this book makes me about to cry it turns around and makes me laugh and that is just about perfect.

I'm getting a bad feeling, though. They're on a death with dignity cruise. I hope I'm wrong...

Got an ARC of this from NetGallery and it was SO good! Maddie's gram is dying, and she books the whole family onto a 'death with dignity' cruise where they'll tick off things on her bucket list with her. Funny, wise, heartbreaking. Whack it on your TBR pile, you won't regret it.

Going away soon, and this looks like a great vacation book, but I can't wait that long! Cover is gorgeous and story is intriguing. Must. Start. Now. Thanks, @thenovl!
