bk to movie -a film i saw when it came out @ cinema + loved but haven't seen since and picked this bk from tbr for the challenge. It is a moving story of childhood friendships and what war does to men. The honesty in a later chapter was moving as Al admits to fear whilst birdy has sunk into trauma induced illness. loved the bk despite a chapter that dog lovers shd avoid & 👇

andrew61 @rretzler yes and i don't know why I've not watched since the 80's - i don't even recall seeing it coming up on tv or as a dvd. 6y
