Judge covers? Heck yeah. 👍😄

Not especially drawn to the cover of my current read. It's a book I selected for #ReadingAfrica2022 and it was published in 1998 so the cover feels a little dated.

My story takes flight over countries and kingdoms of long ago and alights on a prince name Hangnan-Hangnan-Gba, “Ugly-Bumbling-Pig.“

According to the preface, likening the story to a bird in flight is the traditional way a Beninese storyteller would begin just about any tale they would tell. Love it! 💜

I love folklore. I learn so much about the culture and the mores of the culture. Raouf Mama explains the Fon culture as he tells the stories. Priceless!! #ReadingAfrica2022 @Librarybelle @BarbaraBB #DoubleBookSpin @TheAromaofBooks
