With Theseus at her side, she believes she can escape her destiny. But at every turn, new dangersviolence, betrayal, extortion, threat of warthwart Helen's plans and bar her path. Another one that I'm not sure how I feel about it. I really like reading about the Gods and Goddesses. But, I felt that Helen was wimpy and not sympathetic. However, it was nice to hear about the events from her point of view and before the Trojan War began.

Good morning beautiful #Littens. As I am into the book, this quote stands out to me of a genuine friend to keep you calm in a time of tragedy. #HelenofSparta #AmaliaCarosella #litsy #Gods #friendship

'And if it were the woman you loved who had just been raped?” “Then I would depend on you to speak reason until my judgment was restored. Is that not the greatest purpose of friends and allies?”'

Something intriguing is happening. It's a different outlook of the gods and demigods. I feel for Helen truly cause even in her quest for understanding she is ignored or respected simply because of her beauty.

Fascinating history but the presentation left something to be desired.
