A rare foray into travel writing for me & I thoroughly enjoyed it. Palin writes with a light touch, with warmth & wit, humour and, when necessary, gravity, throwing in the occasional surprisingly poetic turn of phrase. More importantly, he manages to evoke the atmosphere of the place & convey his experiences in a measured & accessible manner. Palin's vivid descriptions are supported by a host of photos, making for an immersive experience. 🐪🐫🐪🐫
