Pickpick

I‘ve thoroughly enjoyed every Watt Key book I‘ve read. They often appeal to my rural middle school readers and they‘re usually page turners. This book does an amazing job of describing the setting and making the reader realize the danger involved. This one does include quite a bit of animal violence as it includes hunting and survival along the gulf coast during a hurricane.

Reading a few pages on the bus while on the way to a quiz bowl match. This book looks pretty rough, but like many of my class library books, that‘s a sign it‘s been enjoyed by some readers that are harder to please. I‘m just getting started but I‘m looking forward to this story of kids in a hurricane on the Alabama coast.

Nebklvr I like Watt Key. I have read a couple of his books 3y
Daisey I've enjoyed a few of his books as well, and they often appeal to my rural students. I'm actually reading this one now because the student I recommended it to based on the author insisted I read it myself because she liked it so much. #StudentRecommendation (edited) 3y
