Mistakes Were Made | Stephan Pastis

I think I messed up. Litsy was glitching so I un-installed the app, but when I went to the Google app store, Litsy was nowhere to be found. I tried adding the website to my phone homescreen but now I can't add photos, and that also doesn't seem to work from my laptop. I'm honestly not sure I will keep using it without the app! Has anyone else experienced these issues?

IuliaC I've never encountered this issue, but now that you mentioned I checked Google Play and couldn't find the app either. The desktop version still works on the laptop though, I can add photos and even books to the Litsy database. Maybe you should wait 1 or 2 more days and look for the app again on Google Play, maybe they fix this issue in the meantime 2mo
jen_the_scribe I thought I heard there were issues with Litsy on Android of late? Not sure but I found the email address for the creators if you want to reach out to them to see if there‘s just an issue with Google Play at the moment: litsy@librarything.com 2mo
Librarybelle There was an issue with Google Play and the app, so it disappeared from the store years ago. However, @julesG found ways to reload the app on an Android, including this link: https://litsy.en.uptodown.com/android . Julia just helped another Litten with Android issues. 2mo

Ruthiella @julesG Jules has the answer…I don‘t remember the post where she explained it. I think there also might be instructions on the Facebook page? 2mo
julesG @Librarybelle @Ruthiella - thanks for the tag, unfortunately the Litsy App doesn't notify me when I'm tagged. 😑 The app for Android hasn't been updated in years. Anyway, since Amazon has shares in LibraryThing and LT owns Litsy, you can get the Android app via the Amazon app store, but not Google. Here is a workaround ⬇️ 2mo
julesG Download the Litsy APK file (that's the App) and open it. Here's the link: https://litsy.en.uptodown.com/android Open the APK file. Your phone might say it's from an unreliable source, but you can tell your phone it isn't. This should install the Litsy App on Android.
Two more links, should the first not work:

Sitting here scrolling through my phone when this guy opens my book and hands it to me, demanding that I put down my phone and read with him. 🤓👏😍📚📖.

Librariana What a fabulous fellow reader you've got! 😊💖💙💜 7y

I did not like this book at all. Timmy treated his friends horribly, the book wasn't funny, and he acted the same at the beginning and end. #youthservices #yslibrarian

Mehso-so

I love the plot of this book and all the words such as Total Failure and all. I also loved how imaginative Timmy was and how he knew he was going to build a corporation, but he never quite learned the value of education or at least putting in the effort to do good in school. That's why I gave this book a so-so.

Fun Friday Photo! I don't re-read many books. But when I'm stressed or need to disconnect from real life, reading with my children and indulging in the joy they have for reading is the best medicine. 💕💕 Today was one of those days for me, so we hit the bookstore and got lost in the stacks 😍

Suzze When I was in charge of the kids' department at Barnes and Noble, I read this and recommended it often. 8y

TheWellReadOwl @suzze Thanks! We read most of it today and it's so much fun. My son loves it. 8y

"It's harder to drive a polar bear into somebody's living room than you'd think." As far as first lines go, this one's a winner.
