Every time I opened this book to continue where I left off, it was like coming home. The characters were lovable and flawed; the plot was excitingly realistic, and the 1950s setting colluded the book with just the right tone.

Another long-forgotten book that had been languishing in the TBR for years, rediscovered by way of a daily photo tag...
Set in 1950s London, faded grandeur, a crumbling ancestral home, Dior's New Look, the beginnings of rock & roll... sounds wonderful. Have any of you read this?
