Super cute halloween poetry book.

This is such a fun way to incorporate poetry into the classroom and especially for Halloween. The contrast in the illustrations are great with the dark pages and bright orange of the pumpkins.

Pumpkin Eye by Denise Fleming is a work of poetry. It was written in 2001. This book is so great. It is a fantastic example of poetry because it has great rhythm as well as rhyme. The illustrations only heighten the whole experience of the book. It is easy to read and perfect for getting children in the Halloween mood.

A rhyming halloween book with great illustrations! So fun and cute

Pumpkin Eye by Denise Fleming (poetry, published 2001) was a rhyming poem that took place throughout the whole book. It‘s illustrations are also very in depth and help to paint a vivid picture. A great halloween book!

Surely for the goblin and witch lover at heart! Written in 2001, the poem of Halloween is very easy for those of a younger age group to follow. Perfectly themed for the spooky time of year, with a simple ABAB sentence structure

This was my favorite illustration! The color variance is so lovely. I love the neons compared to the dark shadows

I enjoyed the illustrations of this poem and the use of shadows to show the trick or treaters.

This book has a nice rhythm to it that enforces the theme of Halloween. The onomatopoeias used give the book a sound that relays the mind to halloween time. I think this poem was very timely due to the fact that halloween is right around the corner.

There is a lot of descriptive sound words in this book with the different sounds the items make throughout the story. Each line has a word that describes the next word, which gives the story detail.

“tattered rags, toothless hags, pointed tails, blood-red nails.“

I loved this book, especially for Halloween time! It gives so much description of different Halloween items and can really get children in the mood for the holiday. I will definitely be reading this to my class during the fall.

I really liked how the picture's colors captured the feelings of the words in the poetry on each page. It gave good imagery of what Halloween is and what it is about.

I enjoyed this poetry about Halloween because it is very spirited for the season. I think this would be great for young children to read. I liked how musical rhythm of the words. As well as, how the words rhymed throughout the whole book.

I'm kind of obsessed with these cute little pumpkin pies! Look how adorable they are! 😍 Definitely my favorite snack of the season! 🎃
