pickThis #middlegrade chapter book is like reading an episode of I Love Lucy. Vivid characters who make ludicrous decisions. I read this aloud to my kids. Both agreed the main character was frustrating, yet kept asking me to read at every chance. Good story for foodies, fans of determination, and readers who like new recipes. #readaloud note: lots of tongue twister names even for minor characters. #dw2020reads
Gladys lives to cook and bake!!! But while making a perfect creme brûlée and starting the kitchen on fire with the blowtorch while her parents were at work, she's now banned from the kitchen and forced to do "normal kid things". There are two more books in the series.
