Beauty and the Blacksmith
Beauty and the Blacksmith: A Spindle Cove Novella | Tessa Dare
7 posts | 29 read | 4 to read
Take a trip to Spindle Cove in New York Times bestselling author Tessa Dare's gorgeous and sexy Regency romance Beautiful and elegant, Miss Diana Highwood is destined to marry a wealthy, well-placed nobleman. At least that's what her mother has loudly declared to everyone in Spindle Cove. But Diana's not excited by dukes and lords. The only man who makes her heart pound is the village blacksmith, Aaron Dawes. By birth and fortune, they couldn't be more wrong for each other . . . but during stolen, steamy moments in the smithy, his strong hands feel so right. Is their love forged strong enough to last, or are they just playing with fire?

A short novella in which Diana, whose mother is desperate to make her a good match, is really interested in the village blacksmith. Can people from such different backgrounds make a relationship work?

Never read this Spindle Cove novella because the library didn't carry it. They have it now!

This was a complete delight! Sexy and funny, full of all my favourite Spindle Cove characters. It makes me want to go back and reread the series.

#PotatoCat is practicing his smolder after reading this one. We both loved it, although I wish had been longer (I know, I know, it's a novella). Some spots felt rushed as a side effect. But overall if you're a fan of Tessa's (and I sincerely hope you are) this is a nice little visit into the stories and the ladies at the Cove.

LeahBergen He is TOTALLY smouldering! 😂 7y
CatLadyBibliophile @LeahBergen He's ridiculously good at it. Tyra Banks would be so proud. 7y

#bookanddinner includes sweet potato in bacon cream sauce and lady grey tea. They used sweet potato instead of pasta... interesting dish. Another historical romance in my TBR pile is Tessa Dare's Beauty and the Blacksmith, which I also got as a freebie.

EloisaJames Sweet potato and bacon... mmmmm 7y
Chachic @EloisaJames It was an interesting mix! I like their usual pastas more though. They have another seasonal flavor (salted egg with prawn) that my friend had and I think it tastes better.😅 7y
rubyslippersreads Lady Grey is my favorite tea. 7y

Chachic @rubyslippersreads I like all kinds of tea but a floral earl grey is probably my favorite! 7y
read_diverse_books I was about to ask if you had cooked this, but it looks like you went out to eat! Interesting dish indeed. 7y
Chachic @read_diverse_books I barely cook! I can only manage things like toast, eggs and bacon hahaha. 7y
BookThingo Curious to know what you thought of this book. As I read it, I kept thinking you could write a similar plot but set in contemporary Philippines and the class issues would be so interesting. 7y
Chachic @BookThingo Interesting thought! I will keep that in mind when I read this. 7y
