Soooo go ahead and make fun of me, but when I thought about what #bookssetinSAmerica that I've READ and are not only on my TBR, I could only come up with the last 2 books in this series. It was seriously one of my favorite series as a pre-teen (this coming from a big fan of Laura Ingalls Wilder, Dear America, and American Girl books). Yep. She goes to Bolivia. And now back to the books I need to read, like One Hundred Years of Solitude. #booktober
WordWaller PS I fully believe that I wouldn't be AS ashamed of my love of these books as a kid if it weren't for the TERRIBLE COVERS. Like, seriously? 8y
Chessa Those covers are pretty tragic! 😱 8y

thesquirrelnextdoor Oh my goodness! I didn't read those, but I totally read all of the Elsie Dinsemore books in 4th grade 🙊 8y
WordWaller @thesquirrelnextdoor my mom bought me like, almost the entire Elsie Dinsmore set after I read these because they're "cousins" but I just couldn't get into them and it such a waste of time. I'm glad I've moved on from those old reading tastes ? 8y
thesquirrelnextdoor Hahaha I'm still laughing about the fact that we ever bought into these in the first place! Also is it weird that the only thing I remember is that Elsie married her uncle...? 😂 8y
WordWaller Oh god 😱 I thought he was like, her father's best friend! But yeahhhhhhhh I always thought that was super gross and not okay. 8y
WordWaller Whoops forgot to tag you @thesquirrelnextdoor 8y
thesquirrelnextdoor Yesssss! 😳That's what it was! I just knew it was a freaky connection! Such a weird storyline. 8y
