My BFF spoiled me today and bought me books, my kids some books, her kids, her Husband, and herself. This is our collective #BookHaul ❤️ She also bought me breakfast and lunch. Normally I like Sophie Hannah on audio, but this just wasn't her best. It was WAAAAYYYY too long. I generally appreciate detailed description, character introspection, and carefully crafted plot lines. But in this one, Hannah overshot detail and landed instead in long winded repetition. Some areas were engaging, but many more were tedious. This is what I call the "if there's nothing else available on audio" selection.
