Finished the 4th book in the Maggie Hope series. I‘m really enjoying these, especially on audio.

This one was rough for Maggie. She had to go over Berlin for some undercover work and it affects her thoroughly. Don‘t want to say too much because the story was really good.

I read the first book in this series a few years ago didn't really like it that much, but I've read books 2 & 3 in the last few days and liked them, although book 3 isn't really a mystery. I don't know if book 1 just wasn't very good or if I wasn't in the right mood for it.

This one sent my heart racing quite a few times. Maggie I‘ve sent in the mouth of the beast, Berlin, to help a Resistance group. Get in, plant the bug, get out. Those are her orders. Things don‘t go as planned. Great book. My favorite of the series, so far. 💜💜💜

rretzler I‘m a fan of the series! I was a little disappointed that there wasn‘t a new one this year, but it‘s coming! 5y
Booknerd2 @rretzler It‘s newly discovered for me. Someone on here recommended it. Maybe you? I‘m really enjoying. Gives me a Maisie Dobbs fix while I‘m waiting for her new one. 5y
rretzler Yes, both the Maisie and Maggie books are somewhat similar, especially now that WWII has started for Maisie. I also enjoy both series! 5y
kspenmoll I love this series. Waiting hopefully for a new addition soon! Audio versions great to listen too. 5y

Literary_Siren I‘m in Chapman, Kansas. I was headed to an appointment 30 minutes ago and turned around when I spun out in 4 wheel drive on I70. And the interstate has been cleared! 6y
Skeebies05 @Literary_Siren It definitely wasn‘t my best idea. There was one hill that proved dicey. I ran no more errands after that. 6y
Literary_Siren My vehicle stopped right in front of a guardrail in front of the creek. I said nope this is not happening and turned around and went home! 6y
sammisho The missouri side is crazy too!! 6y

I was stuck in traffic this morning, so I was able to finish this on the way to work. New narrator for this third installment in the audiobook series and she was good! There was lots of detail to the plot, and numerous tangents to the story. But MacNeal was able to gather it all together for a satisfying ending. Looking forward to the fourth book. 3/5⭐️

Mmm, I haven‘t done a #trivialthursday before, looks like fun! Thanks for the tag @LitsyOwl 😉

1️⃣🎶Que Sera, Sera🎶 I was thinking about how unpredictable the future is, and this song popped into my head. No idea why or from where!
2️⃣It‘s about 3.5⭐️ right now. And the suspense is building. 😳
3️⃣I think it was Shantaram by Gregory David Roberts. At 936 pages, it‘s definitely a chunkster!
4️⃣Consider yourself tagged. 👍🏽

⭐️⭐️. Ok, ok. So after finishing the (terrible) 2nd book in this series, I HAD to read the 3rd in the same manner that one cannot look away from a train wreck. I just couldn't believe how different the first two books were! The 3rd installment was marginally better (but only by a small margin). The author certainly employs the "GASP, HOW CAN THAT BE" plot line to the point of distraction. I will DEFINITELY NOT be reading any more in the series.
