Okay, so I really enjoyed the art (her facial expressions were so full of life). And I thought the story was charming, while told in a biting kind of way. But overall, it just wasn‘t memorable for me. But I think that probably says more about me than the book, as I suspect many would love it. #comics #diversebooks

I almost never bail on comics, but I'm halfway through this one and it ain't doing it for me. In general, I approve of stories about young people experimenting with their personalities and trying to figure out who they want to be. In practice, I found this example so disjointed that I couldn't connect with anyone.

I did some #comicthon prep! My huge pool includes lots of digital comics as well as print stuff, so I made a handy-dandy checklist instead of trying to take a picture of everything. I'm sure I'll finish some of these before Sunday, too, since there's no way I'm gonna avoid comics between now and then.
