3,5/5⭐
As you can see when you follow me or look at my profile, there were some poems that really spoke to me, but there were only a few of them. However, a 3,5 star rating feels just for this one!

I find this so empowering, learning from the past and moving forward
This really resonates with who I was when I was still depressed... So simply described but oh so accurate! This explains it so perfectly
Still working on finishing Circe (such long chapters, I can only (some nights) finish one before going to sleep, as I read before bed (not because it's boring because it sure isn't!) ), but also felt like picking up something new. So, another poetry book I've had laying around for a while! I'm curious about this one, I love the cover!
I'm really enjoying this little collection of poems! This is a beautiful cover as Well ?
"Her lipstick stuck to the side of my best coffee cup, post - wash "

I'm going to have a book hangover all because of the depth of emotion that Trista put into this.
.... and I normally don't read poetry but this was a book that I didn't know I needed to read till it was read.
thanks #netgalley for the #arc.
"She was the whiskey: a hard hit with a slow burn. I was the chaser."
"...anyone who‘s ever successfully let anything go will tell you, you have to feel everything before you can put it down. What this means is that letting go is rarely a straightforward process. It‘s messy and it‘s repetitive, and it happens in waves of trying to make things work and trying to move on at the same time."
This book of poetry will remind you of every breakup you ever experienced. I read this in one sitting and was carried through the entirety of a relationship that felt doomed from the beginning.
I think this would be a good book to refer people to who are going through a difficult breakup. If you enjoyed the truth and raw honesty of Kaur's Milk and Honey you will certainly enjoy this.

It was a rough night with the little one so I thought I'd dip into some poetry while she sleeps in courtesy of #NetGalley #arc
