8 posts | 12 read | 3 to read
Five dishonored soldiers. Former Special Forces. One last mission. These are the men of Hard Ink. Edward "Easy" Cantrell knows better than most the pain of not being able to save those he loveswhich is why he is not going to let Jenna Dean out of his sight. He may have just met her, but Jenna's the first person to make him feel alive since that devastating day in the desert more than a year ago. Jenna has never met anyone like Easy. She can't describe how he makes her feeland not just because he saved her life. No, the stirrings inside her stretch far beyond gratitude. When the pair is thrust together and chaos reigns around them, they both know one thing: The things in life most worth having are the hardest to hold on to.

Another good story in the Hard Ink series about a group of former military people who were used as scapegoats to cover up crimes. This book is about Easy and the woman he rescues from a human trafficking/drug ring and falls for. This is a great story arc that needs to be read in order. Lots of action and an ongoing mystery the men are working to solve keeps you invested. 4⭐️ #SeriesLove2024 @Andrew65 #LitsyLoveReads #LitsyLove

Easy is trying to help his friends find out who helped their commanding officer betray them. His best friend had died in that ambush. He‘s suffering from PTSD and depression. Jenna was kidnapped by the bad guys and rescued by Easy. The romance that develops in this novella is so sweet. I absolutely loved this quick read.

Oh Easy. I have no doubt you‘ll beat the depression and you and Jenna will have a happily ever after. Sobering statistics in the author‘s note, although sadly, not shocking. I‘ve known a fair amount of military and former military, and while I‘ve been lucky that no one I know has been one of the 22, it happens more than I‘d like to think. @CoverToCoverGirl @theresidentromantic #HardInk #buddyread

This was a bridge book, a cap to the end of the last one. It's a closure to the relationship with Sara's sister, Jenna and Easy that sort of starts in book two, but doesn't have enough of its own grounds for a full book. It was well done and I have to say, extremely sensitive to the topics of depression and suicide in veterans. Ready for book 3!
