Pickpick

A story about dealing with frustration when plans don't go as planned. Even more reassuring in life during covid-shut downs. ("...storytime was cancelled.") The repeatition in the text and illustrations helps both vocab building and depicting time passing. The endpages are a child's calendar which could tie into early math studies. #dw2020reads #campreadalot2020

#summerfunjr
I am going to try to find new to me picture and short stories to fill in the summer fun jr bingo card. My first pick was Saturday.
I loved this book! It walked through how a mother and daughter spent and entire day together, and nothing seemed to go right, but in the end they had a blast just being together.
